In his current role, Mr. Chatfield manages and conducts assessments of applicant IT environments in an effort to confer strategic loss-avoidance advantages to client underwriters participating in the cyber risk insurance industry. He is also responsible for content and management of the existing NetDiligence®Online application, which serves as a cost-efficient, applicant screening mechanism used to supplement remote and on-site assessment tasks. Areas of expertise covered within NetDiligence®assessments include IT Security, Privacy, and the Legal Use of Internet Content.
Mr. Chatfield served as Manager of Insurance Risk Mitigation Services and Senior Security Consultant at Fiderus/EDS (2000-01), assisting in the development of insurance-industry solutions. He also provided engagement management for traditional IT Security assessment projects.
Previously, he served as Consultant (1997-2000) and Senior Consultant (2000) with IBM's Global Security and Privacy Services Practice, and was responsible for engagement management and perform tasks relating to British Standard 7799 (BS7799) Information Security Assessments, Internet-based penetration testing, and firewall policy analysis. Mr. Chatfield also participated in the early methodology development and initial perform engagements relating to IBM's Privacy Services consulting solutions.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Chatfield provided Internet-focused technical networking services while employed in the Corporate IT Department at Intel Corporation in Santa Clara, CA, IBM's OS/2 Development Facility in Boca Raton, FL, and his alma mater - Cleveland State University in Cleveland, OH.
